Spreadbetting rookie!I had to adapt...
Ok so in my beginning stages of trading i was mainly using spreadbetting and i only started off with a 4k account which wasnt alot for me. at the time i was looking to do this professionally and i needed good gains so i had to adapt!
because my account was so small i decided to filter and buy small cap stocks that were performing well and had more upside potential! notice how the stocks i was buying were not really over $10. buying lower cap stocks gave me the change to be on more per point ie £5 and make more money. so i managed to quickly turn my 4k
account quickly into a 20k account where i was then able to trade higher priced stocks and futures with good returns. i was buying stocks at £5 a point and having a stop loss of £400. so the most i could lose on any trade was £400. i did have just a few losing trades but my stocks that went on done extremely well.once making my money it then allowed me to get into options trading which was brilliant and took my trading to a whole new level. i also used this platform to trade currencies which gave me good returns. i have a few of my trades at this time available on my twitter feed. At the time i did find that i would lose money trading forex on lower time frames and adapted quickly.
